After many years as an amateur, Jenkins began pursuing his art with a full-time passion in 2000. Since moving to the fresh air and awesome scenery of Utah, Jenkins has been enthusiastically painting the Utah landscape and working on his latest project: his “Mother Earth” series involving painting nudes into canyon landscapes. Other themes includes seascapes and landscapes painted from the photographs that Jenkins made during his extensive world travels. Craig Jenkins’ "Mother Earth" series of paintings express feminine spirituality as seen in nature. Jenkins paints the female form, representing Mother Earth, into desert landscapes. The bodies, which are presented in a subtle and somewhat abstract manner, blend into the landscape or form integral features of the landscape. Jenkins hopes to express in his paintings the Oneness of nature and soul. Jenkins resides blissfully in Park City, Utah and can be reached at 435-513-2303.
